FIELD VANE SHEAR TEST (VST)

The field vane shear test is conducted using the equipment with automatic recording data. Two sizes of rectangular vane blade are used for testing. The vane with dimensions of 65mm diameter and 130mm height is limited to obtaining shear values from 0kPa to 50kPa and is recommended for very soft – soft clay.
